Being former student-athletes we saw and still see the huge void in holistic development of athletes across the country. Year after year we saw how unprepared our teammates and fellow student-athletes were entering AND leaving college. WalkOn Nation was created to redefine athletic identity to ultimately empower student-athletes to allow their platform to enhance them, not define them.

Michael Willett, CEO

Michael founded WalkOn Nation to bridge the gap between student-athletes and the real world. He wants all athletes to be able to reach their maximum potential.

Michael is a former football student-athlete at the University of Central Florida. While being a part of the team he noticed that his teammates were not prepared for life outside of sports. From being a walk-on, to earning his scholarship, then to have a career ending injury he learned valuable skills and life lessons to shape him into the man that he is today.

Tristan Reaves, Co-Founder

Tristan co-founded WalkOn Nation with the mission of inspiring student athletes to see the big picture and how to utilize their platform for a purpose greater than their sport.

Also a former football student-athlete at UCF, Tristan faced tremendous adversity throughout his career.  Choosing a walk-on position over other scholarship options forced him to re-evaluate his “why” and purpose in life. By way of resilient work ethic and off the field growth, he ultimately earned his scholarship. His mission now is to show athletes that their potential doesn't peak in their sport.
